Data Analyst

Location: Windsor Mill, MD
Analytica is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to support a federal healthcare client in Baltimore, MD.  Successful candidates should have SAS experience, as well as experience supporting Medicare and/or Medicaid projects.

Duties may include (but are not limited to):
  • Perform data analysis, data matching, statistical analysis, trending activities, and collaborative efforts for data migration/management project.
  • Bring technical expertise to ensure the quality and accuracy of the application data, process and design are presented in ways to help businesses make better decisions. 
  • Work with data architect and the team to develop data migration strategies can be tested and explore new data environment to aid in development and transition
  • Help define process and standardization through data governance to make decisions based on high-quality data and well-managed information assets. 
  • Help define Business Rules to aid in data ingestion. 
  • Work to formulate Data Process Models.
  • Work directly with Data Steward during rollout and implementation of application.
  • Validates data analysis results and analytically identifies data anomalies that can help drive better data policies and processes.
  • Help define process and standardization through data governance to make decisions based on high-quality data and well-managed information assets.
  • Supports management requests for CMS reporting requirements.
  • Complies with and maintains various documentation and other reporting requirements as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant work experience as a data analyst. 
  • Have high proficiency level with MS Access and MS Excel.
  • 7 + years of professional experience in an information technology, information management, business or related field
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • Knowledge of Medicaid Managed Care encounter and claims data is a plus
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various database management systems in order to input, extract or manipulate information.
