Technical Director of Consulting Services

Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Analytica is seeking a versatile, technical driven leader who can oversee program management and agile delivery for a small, dynamic, and rapidly growing consulting and technology services firm that serves US Public Sector clients in Health (HHS, CMS, FDA, DHA, and State Medicare Agencies) and Civilian (Treasury, IRS, SEC, ED, HUD, and State CTO, OIG, CFO offices) markets.  Our firm specializes in providing agile project management, software and systems development, information management, health, and analytics & visualization solutions. 

This position would oversee delivery, program and project management across the company's consulting engagements.  The role would also act as lead Agile Project / Program manager for the most critical, large scale projects as applicable. The ideal individual should also be comfortable helping maintain and improve Analytica's CMMI Dev 3 and ISO 9001 software and consulting methodologies, helping drive improvements in processes, tools and delivery across the organization.

Required Experience:
  • Minimum of five years managing federal projects as a project manager or client engagement manager
  • At least three years managing IT software and/or data warehousing based project implementations
  • Experience working as a project manager in a technical capacity, ie not just soft skills, but an understanding of how to interface with client and internal technical SME's so as to ensure requirements are negotiated and realistic delivery schedules are implemented
  • Ability to ensure that projects are successfully implemented and that the customer has high customer satisfaction. 
  • Experience with agile delivery, such as SCRUM, Test-driven development, etc
  • Soft skills in project management, managing tough customers, customers with issues, negotiating changes  
  • Experience working on technical and business proposals for RFP responses, RFI responses, white papers. As well as an ability to compile and capture information across the various technical projects and help to concisely summarize this information for past performance, technical write ups, proposals
  • Ability to work at a fast pace, requiring juggling various opportunities, proposals and support requests for capture / business development
  • Bachelors degree, strongly preferred major in information systems, computer Science, math or equivalent bachelor’s Degree;  Masters and PMP a strong plus
  • U.S. Citizen, with the ability to pass a US Government Top Secret security clearance investigation

Highly Desired Experience:
  • Prior Experience working with Centers For Medicare / Medicaid,  Defense Health Agency,  HHS, Treasury, IRS or Commerce Department projects
  • Understanding of analytics, data management, data warehousing, and ideally fraud waste and abuse preferred
  • Experience developing, growing professionals and providing opportunities for professional development
  • Experience working with open source development environment
  • ITIL, Agile certifications
