Analytica is seeking a Statistician to join our team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate has a statistical background with experience managing and analyzing large data sets. This position offers exciting growth opportunities and the ability to help the management consulting division continue to grow and take on new work.  Previous experience supporting federal government contracts is highly desired. 

Responsibilities include (But Are Not Necessarily Limited To):
  • Provide support to senior-level analysts, project managers, clients, and consultants on management consulting projects
  • Develop and maintain large databases
  • Lead teams in the analysis and reporting of data for evaluation and survey projects
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of government programs
  • Review literature and summarize research
  • Write and edit technical reports
  • Create, review, and format charts, tables, and documents
  • Design and utilize statistical methodologies and models ranging from basic to advanced
  • Knowledge and technical experience in more than one of the following areas: research design, economics, statistical analysis, survey design and analysis, policy analysis, program evaluation, financial analysis, computer programming.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office products
  • Proficient creating and maintaining MS Excel spreadsheets, using equations and pivot tables
  • Proficient creating professional-looking tables and charts for reports and presentations
  • Skilled in working with MS Word templates and style sheets to produce professional and publication-ready documents
  • Knowledge and experience with statistical software packages (e.g., SPSS, SAS, Stata, R, JMP)
  • Knowledge and experience with coding (e.g., C, Java, Ruby, PHP, SQL, JavaScript, HTML)
  • Experience in government contracts
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Five (5) or more years of experience developing and implementing estimation systems and preparing descriptive tables and other analytic products
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in sample design
  • Bachelor’s degree in a field such as economics, statistics, mathematics, or public policy.
  • A master’s degree can be substituted for 1 to 2 years of work experience.
