Project Manager (Data & Analytics)

Analytica is seeking a Project Manager (Data & Analytics) to support various long-term federal government customer engagements in the Washington DC metro area. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working directly with clients in both a consulting and delivery capacity to tackle complex, enterprise cloud or on-premise data architecture, analytics or data science challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive technology and analytics delivery by managing client relationships, consulting projects, and technology teams
  • Regularly interface with clients at numerous levels of an organization—project managers, stakeholders, end-users, data owners, analysts, IT groups, management, and executives—to drive the tactical delivery of analytics projects
  • Lead project delivery agile project management, including Epic / User story creation, product and sprint backlog grooming, daily stand-up meetings, JIRA board management, sprint reviews and retrospectives
  • Interface with technical data scientists, data engineers, and software engineers to aid in business analysis, technology design and delivery, quality assurance, and project reporting
  • Provide consulting support and guidance to data science and engineering teams on business analysis, technology approach, analytic solutions, project management process and client engagement to drive delivery success
  • Maintain and communicate a solid understanding of analytics and data science techniques, tools, approaches, methodologies, and solutions
  • Support responding to government request for proposals with customer intelligence and delivery contributions (scope, schedule, approach)
 
Required Experience: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or liberal arts;
  • Multi-year experience with project management and software development lifecycles
  • Multi-year experience managing and delivering complex projects with demonstrated prior experience managing an enterprise-wide data and/or analytics project
  • Multi-year experience in the consulting industry (technology, management, strategy) and managing client engagements. Experience working directly with executive sponsors as a trusted advisor
  • Experience overseeing and managing a staff of highly-skilled engineers, data, and/or analytics professionals 
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA including creating and managing JIRA project boards
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
Desired Skills: 
  • Master’s degree in math, statistics, engineering, or business administration
  • PMP and/or Agile Certifications
