Web Designer

Analytica is seeking an experienced and talented Web Designer to develop and shape unique, user-centered applications and experiences for a federal government client. The ideal candidate will have experience working in agile teams with developers, business analysts, and other key stakeholders. This position requires a strong understanding of information architecture and the ability to elicit business requirements and translate them into use cases and technical requirements. You will have the ability to make deliberate design decisions in order to provide a smooth and intuitive user experience.  This position is based out of Washington, DC. 

Responsibilities include (But Are Not Necessarily Limited To):
  • Maintain existing and develop new frontend code of web application (HTML/CSS/JS)
  • Elicite business needs from key stakeholders & translate to use cases and technical requirements
  • Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, work flows, and style guides to communicate your interaction design ideas
  • Present and defend design decisions to all key stakeholders
  • Ensure applications have no bugs/errors
  • Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications and components
  • Maintains documentation of process flow
  • Enhances existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan and identifying areas for modification and improvement
  • Develops, creates and integrates the website layout/user interface from provided design concepts

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of relative work experience
  • Experience with Section 508 compliance regulations
  • Strong knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript
  • Experience using design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Balsamique, Sketch, etc.
  • Creative problem solver
  • Ability to communicate clearly with clients and present potential product/application  improvement options
  • Ability to explain and defend design choices
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development process
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an MBI Public Trust Security Clearance
