Data Analyst

ANALYTICA is seeking a mid-level Data Analyst to support a federal government client in Baltimore, MD.   As part of our Data team you will work with a diverse group of sophisticated professionals to research and analyze the modern data modeling trends and patterns in the industry.  Analytica has been recognized by Inc. Responsibilities include (But Are Not Necessarily Limited To):
  • Gather requirements from various project teams to consult and advise on the data architecture and data modeling
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data warehousing concepts and experience working with data architects in the design of database schemas
  • Research and adapt new modeling methods and tools using case studies, market trends, or other proven approaches and prepare white papers
  • Advise and develop data architecture standards and guidelines to the project team
  • Research new data concepts, trends and technologies
  • Convert ideas to visualization and presentations as well as able present to project teams and groups
  • Ability to directly engage and communicate with customers
 
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant work experience
  • 4+ years in Data Analyst role proficient with data analysis and issue resolution, exposer to logical/physical data models
  • Experience working with Data warehouse and data marts as well as OLTP systems
  • Experience with SQL scripts
  • Strong soft skills: documentation and presentation experience
  • Strong teamwork abilities, excellent communication and customer service skills to support various project teams
  • Exposure to create/read data models using Erwin or similar tools
  • Exposure or knowledge on Ontology, Text Analytics and Python is a plus
  • Exposure to Agile and AWS is desired
