Data Architect

Analytica is seeking a Data Architect to support a federal government client in Woodlawn MD. As part of our Data Architecture team you will work with a diverse group of sophisticated professionals to research and analyze the modern data architecture and modeling trends and patterns in the industry.

Responsibilities include (But Are Not Necessarily Limited To):
  • Consult and advise on the data architecture and modeling techniques with project teams
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data warehousing concepts and experience working with data architects in the design of database schemas
  • Lead, develop and advise data architecture and modeling standards and guidelines
  • Research and adapt new data architecture, concepts, tools, technologies and methods through case studies, market trends or other proven approaches and prepare white papers
  • Define future state for enterprise master data management and data governance
  • A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques; play a strong technical contributor role by working/exploring different tools, technologies, and platforms
  • Convert concepts and ideas into workable prototypes for business review and design validation
  • Experience with delivering Data (Catalog, Data Dictionary, etc.) solution using open source and COTS products
  • Participate in all Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, release planning, retrospectives, and customer demos

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or relevant field
  • 10+ years of experience working as a Data Modeler, Database Administrator and/or Data Architect
  • Experience working with Data warehouse and data marts as well as OLTP systems
  • Exposure to building logical/physical data models using Erwin or similar tools
  • Experience with SQL scripts
  • Experience with Cloud technologies AWS, Databricks, Snowflake a plus
  • Exposure to Python, Ontology, RDF, Graph database or similar scripting tool is a plus
  • Strong teamwork abilities, excellent communication, and customer service skills to support various project teams
  • Prior experience with CMS is preferred
