Senior Data Analyst

Bethesda, MD

Analytica is seeking two Senior Data Analysts with Medicare / Medicaid policy and R or SAS programming experience to engage in developing, implementing, testing, monitoring and refining business models and edits to identify aberrant provider billing and utilization patterns.

RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to): 

  • Gather data requirements and resolve data challenges for client team
  • Create and refine data models to identify vulnerabilities in the Medicaid/Medicare program(s).
  • Gather information and consult and advise on the data and modeling techniques.
  • Research and adapt new modeling methods and tools using case studies, market trends, or other proven approaches and prepare white papers. 
  • Monitor Compliance with Billing Requirements.
  • Research new data concepts, trends and technologies.
  • Work with team on onsite and desktop, as needed
  • Provide direct communication with customers, present to project teams and groups
  • Bachelors Degree
  • 5+ years of Medicaid policy experience
  • Experience conducting statistical analysis using R and SQL, with an ability to perform trend analysis
  • Demonstrated experience with Medicare or Medicaid compliance and billing
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data concepts and experience working with data architects in the design of database schemas.
  • Experience and/or coursework with database management systems and querying languages (SAS, SQL, Python, R)
  • Ability to extract data, manipulate data and perform analysis
  • Ability to organize data in presentable formats for consumption by the healthcare business community
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
